TransLinc, the leading supplier of specialist fleet management and passenger services is supporting the next generation through its sponsorship of Lincoln College’s Awards Ceremony.
The annual Lincoln College Awards Ceremony celebrates the success of nearly 100 of the Colleges students, selected from a wide range of courses from Lincoln, Gainsborough and Newark Colleges.
TransLinc was one of 48 external companies and organisations supporting this years event with sponsorship of one of the ‘big three’ Student of the Year Awards which recognises the most outstanding student overall across three categories.
The winner of the Student of the Year Award for the 16-18 year old category was Tamara Childs, who secured the award having demonstrated a consistently positive approach to her own learning.
In addition to supporting the evening, TransLinc was also awarded the prestigious Training Employer of the Year award as a result of our work with Lincoln College on ‘Train to Gain’, a programme designed to ensure that drivers of Passenger Carrying Vehicles have suitable vocational qualifications.
All TransLinc drivers are required to undertake the NVQ Level 2 course and there are now over 100 drivers from TransLinc working towards the qualification.
