TransLinc drivers achieve training first

TransLinc, the leading supplier of local authority fleet vehicles and passenger services has announced that the first of their drivers have gained their PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence after having completed their Initial Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.

TransLinc's Bob Buffham recieves his CPC certificateThe two drivers, Bob Buffham, who delivers Home to School service in and around Wragby and Morris McGhee who operates a Call Connect vehicle for TransLinc’s Barrowby depots have benefited from the companies proactive approach to staff training.

Tricia Wilson, Operations Manager for TransLinc said “We are delighted for Bob and Morris for completing the CPC and in gaining their PCV licences. They have both put a lot of hard work into completing the course requirements and their dedication has paid off.

When they started working for TransLinc, driving licences restrictions only allowed them to carry up to 8 passengers. The new PCV licenses now allow them to operate our wider range of vehicles and carry up to 16 passengers.

The course provided by South Holland Training was excellent and we hope that Bob and Morris will be the first of many drivers to achieve their PCV licence in this way.”
