TransLinc and New Holland deliver high spec tractors to Stockport MBC

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council has taken delivery of seven of New Holland’s T5000 tractors from Local Authority fleet specialist, TransLinc to support its groundcare and maintenance department.

The vehicles are being supplied on a 7 year Contract Hire with Maintenance agreement as part of a wider, existing deal between TransLinc and Stockport MBC.

Rob Hobson, Regional Sales Manager for TransLinc, said: “The supply of seven new tractors to Stockport Council is the latest development in our ongoing activity to update its current vehicle fleet.”

Dave Burrows, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council’s Assets and Estates Manager explained:  “The council has chosen the T5000 tractors after seeing them in action. The specification includes a deluxe cab with thermostatically controlled heating and air conditioning, lumbar support and arm rest.”

“Operators are often out for several hours in the tractors so the low noise and vibration levels offered by the T5000 are of paramount importance,” he added.

Tractors are used for general groundcare and mowing utilising a number of attachments such as a Hayter TM749 Hydraulic seven unit gang mower, Major Rollermower and Votex high velocity blower.

All tractors have also been specified with turf tyres to avoid marking delicate grassed areas in parks and on sportsgrounds, completing an excellent package which will enable Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council to make the most of the New Holland T5000 range’s power and versatility.
