Long serving staff member celebrates retirement.
TransLinc staff and management have been celebrating the retirement of one of their colleagues after over 34 years of service to TransLinc and the people of Lincolnshire.
Paul Durance joined Lincolnshire County Council in April 1974 and has worked as a courier driver from the start, delivering to schools and council offices throughout the county. Since joining the Council, Paul has seen many changes to the organisation, including the creation of the externalised Transport Management Organisation and the buy out that created TransLinc as the business it is today.
Margaret Serna, Passenger Services Director at TransLinc, praised Paul’s dedicated service saying “Paul is known throughout the county by school secretaries and numerous other Council officers as someone who would go the extra mile. He has given long and loyal service to the people of Lincolnshire, the Council and TransLinc, delivering customer service before the phrase entered the language.
His departure leaves a gap in our company and presents a challenge to those following in his footsteps. Pleasant, courteous and always helpful have been Paul’s watchwords and, both myself and his colleagues, wish him the very best for a long and happy retirement”.
