With over 30 years experience of Local Authority fleet provision, TransLinc is able to provide a bespoke full outsource solution, moving the burden of internal fleet provision from the Local Authority, allowing them to focus on delivering core services to local residents.
Outsourcing offers a range of benefits to a Local Authority. It delivers operational efficiencies with releasing them from the financial risk associated with the operation and maintenance of a fleet and workshop infrastructure while ensuring that service users are not
impacted.
Service centres that are in need of investment,operationally inefficient or which sit in a prime development location can be moved to more modern facilities, delivering higher service levels back to the Local Authority. We would also transfer the workshop employees under TUPE regulations, safeguarding their positions and ensuring that both the Local Authority and employees benefits from continuation of service.
Where TransLinc has been an outsource partner for our existing clients they have seen a significant reduction in both the fleet administration costs, as the majority of that function is handled by TransLinc and additional savings on vehicles, parts and labour rates. We work closely with individual user departments to understand their specific needs, allowing us to deliver a flexible service which meets their requirements and maximising vehicle availability during core operating hours.
As part of the outsource solution, all service centres would be governed by the TransLinc Integrated Quality Managed Standard which covers Health and Safety and Environmental policy and also allows us to report against specific KPI’s within the contract provision.
