North East Derbyshire District Council Services provided: A fully outsourced solution for a mixed fleet of 160 vehicles.
The 10 year solus agreement includes provision for the maintenance of the vehicles - a provision that North East Derbyshire District Council were keen to continue to utilise their own workshops for. In order to accommodate this, TransLinc has appointed the workshops as TransLinc approved maintenance suppliers, allowing us to sub contract the maintenance work back to the Council’s workshops, while removing North East Derbyshire District Council from the associated maintenance administration. To meet our criteria for an approved supplier, the workshops equipment and procedures were improved and workshop staff retrained accordingly. Subsequent to awarding the contract, North East Derbyshire District Council has transferred the responsibility for its housing maintenance division to an ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation). TransLinc worked closely North East Derbyshire District Council and the ALMO to ensure that vehicles had the correct livery and were transferred promptly to the ALMO.
